Summary:This position must provide clean, sanitary comfortable, orderly and satisfying surroundings for the residents and employees. The housekeeper promotes sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of infection and odors. Assist with meal preparation, serving and cleanup as needed.
NON-ESSENTIAL
Responsibilities:
May be required to perform duties of lesser, equal or greater responsibility.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSANDABILITIES REQUIRED
1.Knowledge of, and skilled in housekeeping duties, procedures, materials, ordering supplies, problem solving, and organizational skills.
2.Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and skills to relate effectively with co-workers, residents, and members of the treatment team.
Qualifications:
Minimum education of High School diploma or GED.
.Minimum of 3 years professional housecleaning work at hotel, bed and breakfast or group home or nursing home.One or more years with a single employer is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectivelyin English withand ancillary personnel.
Ability to function independently and exercise independent judgement appropriately.
