Responsible for timely and accurate submission of all insurance claims, within an assigned category, in accordance with third party requirements. Maintains system of regular follow-up to resolve processing problems and expedite payment. Uses a customer service approach in handling patient inquiries promptly and courteously. Works with other departments to research and obtain missing information necessary for a complete and correct claim. A.S. in Business, Accounting or equivalent preferred. Experience in similar job (patient accounting, general accounting or billing experience in a health care environment) preferred. Familiarity with automated business systems desirable. Excellent communication skills and customer service experience required. Licensure/Certification: None.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
