seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented market logistics coordinator for the new Retreat Farm Market, which will open in June 2024.
Position to start May 2024.
The Market Logistics Coordinator will coordinate back-end functions of the Market.
This critical role will assist the Retail Manager with processing orders, warehouse organization, deliveries, and stocking displays.
The successful candidate will also help the Front-End Manager on the sales floor, assisting customers and serving as a cashier when needed.
This position will also be trained to take on Manager-On-Duty responsibilities when the Retail Manager and Front End Manager are unavailable.
Reporting:
The Market Logistics Coordinator will report to the Retail Manager and work in coordination with the Front-end Manager.
Daily Activities:
Review the delivery schedule for the day.
Prepare to check in with delivery drivers.
Do product checks and returns if necessary.
Keep track of invoices and changes.
Move products from delivery to backstock and front end.
Receive items and stock and rotate them on the floor.
Additional Activities Include:
Greeting and interacting with Retreat Farm visitors, and Market customers Cashiering, including accurate cash handling Opening and closing the Market when needed Carrying out shift manager duties as needed A Successful Candidate:
Has the ability to remain calm under pressure and thrive when it's busy Has the ability to communicate clearly, politely, and effectively Has the ability to problem-solve and deal with delivery concerns Has the ability to complete tasks safely for self and others Maintains high standards for their work and area Can be flexible and adaptable in a growing organization The Ideal Candidate Has:
2-3 years retail experience 1-2 years warehouse experience (forklift operator is a plus) Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and inventory management (knowledge of Lightspeed is a plus) Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to multi-task and work independently Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Work Environment:
Retreat Farm is a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Candidates must be able to switch focus to address changing priorities while working within warehouse and retail atmospheres with moderate noise levels and interruptions.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, climb stairs, navigate uneven terrain, and routinely lift up to 50lbs.
Benefits:
$25-28/hr plus sick leave.
Full time benefits include paid time off; employer contributions to health, vision, and dental insurances; eligibility for a retirement plan with a 3% employer match; and discounts at the Retreat Farm Market (coming June 2024).
