Summary:Responsible for providing clinical psychotherapy and evaluation services to patients to promote optimal individual, interpersonal and social patient s continued well being through direct psychological services as determined by Clinical Program with other community providers as appropriate.
NON-ESSENTIAL
Responsibilities:
May be required to perform duties of lesser, equal or greater responsibility.Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSANDABILITIES REQUIRED:
1.Clinical expertise in psychotherapeutic process, transference and counter transference dynamic, crisis intervention, skills in working with the acute and chronically mentally ill population as well as with individuals and families undergoing episodes of psychological andpsychiatric distress; skills in diagnosis and assessment in an out patient setting.
in the autonomous delivery of outpatient evaluation and psychotherapeutic services.
3.Ability to work as part of a comprehensive multidisciplinary mental health team and to represent the Retreat in the community.
in the delivery of general and some speciality evaluations and psychotherapeutic treatment.
5.Familiar with community support systems, health care and human service resources for treatment planning and collaboration.
6.Good organizational skills and administrative abilities.
7.Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work.
8.Knowledge of and ability to adhere to the professional code of ethics and the state mental health code.
Qualifications:
1.Master s degree in a mental health discipline.MSWpreferred. Must be licensed with 3rdparty reimbursable approval.
2.At least three years of professional experience in mental health or human services preferably in an out patient setting.
3.At least three years of experience providing direct clinical care as a psychotherapist.
