The Payroll Accounting Supervisor will oversee one or more payroll staff accountants. The payroll accounting team maintains payroll-related general ledger accounts and is responsible for the reconciliation and accuracy of all related accounts within a complex accounting system. The supervisor will also prepare various accounting schedules, exhibits, and reconciliations as required by finance management and reviews as necessary output of the staff accountants. The supervisor will research and advise the payroll accounting staff concerning the accounting treatment of complex transactions. Additionally, the supervisor may perform periodic reviews of various payroll processes affecting the general ledger and may be required to prepare materials for external or internal auditors.
Facilitate timely and accurate distribution of Lawson payroll financial data to the Oracle general ledger.
Using AssureNet, ensure assigned balance sheet reconciliations are completed timely and in accordance with the company's general accounting standards.
Supervise payroll accounting staff including day to day operations, work schedules, time off, and performance reviews
Assess problems as they may arise and develop a solution that best fits the issue, delegate to responsible individuals actions to be taken, and follow through to ensure completion.
Develop and train subordinate staff to effect retention of well performing individuals or advancement within C&S.;
Communicate with Senior Management any critical issues that arise.
Develop, plan, and execute all projects assigned by Senior Management.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field of study.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; specifically Access and Excel.
A proven team leader with outstanding accounting and analysis skills.
