Description:
General Description:
The Gift Processor is a full-time position primarily responsible for recording all gifts and grants received through the Advancement Office. This position will work to accurately record all gifts, grants, pledges, and stock transactions received. Additionally, this individual is responsible for data entry, database maintenance, and data integrity related to contributions.
Responsibilities:
o Receive, record, allocate and process gifts and pledges received
o Responsible for data management and integrity related to gift entry
o Coordinate the processing and distribution of all acknowledgements, standard gift receipts and pledge reminders with special attention to principal, leadership, and major donors.
o Prepare bank deposits for Finance Department
o Track and manage automated giving program (i.e. ACC/EFT and payroll deduction)
o Process bank deposits and wire transfers
o Contact donors for information regarding donations
o Respond to donor inquires
o Respond to all Matching Gift requests and complete processing of matching gift forms.
o Work with Finance to:
o Create or maintain gift funds in the database
o Provide support for transaction inquires
o Maintain gift entry procedure manual
o Assist members of the team with mailings, phonathons, solicitations and special events
o As time allows, perform other data clean-up projects in support of the department (i.e. address clean-up, NCOA updates, etc.)
o Provide general administrative support for the department as needed
Required
Experience:
Minimum
Qualifications:
o 2 years office experience
o Computer experience in data entry and records management
o High level of typing accuracy and speed
o Experience with word processing and spreadsheet applications
o Organizational skills and attention to detail
o Excellent communication skills
o Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
o Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
o Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
Desired Qualifications
o Experience with Datatel or other relational database systems
o Knowledge of general accounting practices
o Familiar with Intranet/networked systems
Required Education:
Associates Degree preferred.
