Summary:Assists the Child Care Teacher in implementation of a developmentally appropriate program for a primary care group of children that will ensure the opportunity for creative growth that promotes:socio-emotional development, cognitive, language skills and physical development in a child-centered learning environment.
NON-ESSENTIAL
Responsibilities:
May be required to perform duties of lesser, equal or greater responsibility.Other duties as assigned as discussed with Manager,EarlyLearningCenter.
Qualifications:
One year of successful experience working with young children.
At leastone course successfully completed in Early Childhood or Human/Child Development (preferred) or basic early childhood workshops or trainings.Must be willing to complete a minimum of a CDA.
Physical stamina, ability to lift children, and to work at the child''s physical level.
Successful completion of the Brattleboro Retreat''s defensive driving course may be required.
American Red Cross Certification in Infant/Child CPR.(Certification may be completed within first 12 months of employment).
Must attend between twelve (12) and thirty-six (36) hours of continuing education classes per year. The number of hours depends on the needs of the center.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
